Review by hotel critic
Stepping into Rhett House felt like entering a charming tale of Southern hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the staff's warmth and professionalism set the tone for a memorable stay. Our room, located downstairs, was not just roomy and clean, but exuded a sense of comfort that made it hard to leave. the attention to housekeeping detail was evident throughout our short but sweet stay. the main level veranda, adorned with sitting areas perfect for people-watching, added a touch of old-world charm. Waking up to the famous Southern Breakfast each morning felt like a true indulgence, setting the perfect tone for exploring Beaufort's rich history and culture. the exquisite Spanish Moss Trail, with its serene surroundings, provided a picturesque backdrop for leisurely walks and bike rides, allowing us to truly immerse ourselves in nature. As a professional photographer drawn to aesthetic beauty, the nearly 200-year-old "in-town plantation house" nestled amidst Live Oaks draped in Spanish Moss was a sight to behold. the property's blend of charm and luxury extended to the fine amenities offered, including complimentary bike hire and horse-drawn carriage tours – ideal ways to explore Beaufort's historic district. the proximity to the waterfront and the town's historic neighborhood made our brief stay feel like a glimpse into Beaufort's soul, leaving us eager to return for a deeper dive into its captivating allure. In the company of like-minded individuals who appreciate the fusion of history and luxury, Rhett House Inn proved to be a haven where old-world charm meets modern comforts. the blend of elegance and comfort, coupled with the genuine hospitality of the staff, made our short sojourn a truly enriching experience.
